Version 2.60 Update and Nintendo Switch™ 2 Version of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising to Release on September 17

New Playable Character Id from Granblue Fantasy: Relink Series Among New Content

TOKYO — June 29, 2026 — On September 17, video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Koichi Watanabe, hereinafter referred to as “Cygames”) will release the Version 2.60 update to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR), developed by Arc System Works Co., Ltd. for the PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 and Steam platforms.In addition to this update, a Nintendo Switch™ 2 version of GBVSR will be released on the same day, alongside a save data link bonus with Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, the latest installment in the Granblue Fantasy: Relink action RPG series.

Version 2.60 Update

The newest update to GBVSR, Version 2.60, will release on September 17 and feature the new playable DLC character Id from Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Once an adversary of the crew in Relink, see how the changed swordsman of Zegagrande and his draconic might stand against the powerful fighters of GBVSR!

This update will also include the new stage Ainsteddo Archipelago, a new system mechanic, balance adjustments for several characters and more. Stay tuned for further details.

GBVSR for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 Releases on September 17!

On September 17, GBVSR will make its long-awaited debut on the Nintendo Switch™ 2.

The Nintendo Switch™ 2 version of GBVSR will release with the entire 40-character roster, including Id and other characters previously available as DLC. It will also include local communication multiplayer support, allowing players to fight anyone, anywhere, with any character!

Of course, core GBVSR features, such as the expansive Story Mode and beloved Figure Studio, will also be available for players to enjoy.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok Save Data Link Bonus

Players will be able to link save data from Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, releasing on July 9, to receive bonus items in GBVSR, such as a weapon skin for Id and a Lyria (Shaman of Salvation) lobby avatar.
