Playboy to Throw Its 69th Birthday Party in The Sandbox
The celebration will be open to all and last 6.9 days, offering players chances to receive rewards
HONG KONG – Dec. 9, 2022 – The Sandbox, a leading decentralized gaming virtual world and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, today announced that Playboy is celebrating its iconic brand’s 69th anniversary in the metaverse via a brand new experience available Dec. 12-19 in The Sandbox.
During the celebration Playboy and The Sandbox will release a collection of NFTs retracing the legendary brand’s history. Starting with the iconic April 1956 cover of the magazine, the voxelized collectibles will span Playboy’s past, present, and future. The experience will also offer opportunities for players to be rewarded with play-and-earn mechanics, including extra rewards available to owners of Playboy Rabbitars and Playboy Party People avatars. Players eligible for rewards will need to register through a KYC process. Players who complete at least one quest within the experience will also receive a Playboy 69th Birthday in-game digital collectible.
The Playboy 69th Birthday experience in The Sandbox will run from 12 to 19 December 2022 and will be accessible for free and for everyone at https://www.sandbox.game/.
