Tripwire Presents Partners with The Powell Group as Official Sponsor of IndieGameBusiness

Publisher’s Sponsorship Allows Organization to Expand its Offerings of Free Resources and Education to Independent Game Developers.

ROSWELL, Ga. – September 12, 2022 – Tripwire Presents, the publishing division of Tripwire Interactive that focuses on releasing great games from other independent studios, including Chivalry 2, Espire 1: VR Operative, Espire 2, DECEIVE INC. and Road Redemption, announced today that they have partnered with The Powell Group as the official Diamond Sponsor for IndieGameBusiness (IGB). IGB is an organization which provides free resources and education to indie game developers in the form of virtual conferences, podcasts, white papers, and an active discord server. Tripwire’s sponsorship allows IGB to expand its content offerings to include online classes and to also pay a stipend to speakers presenting at the 2022 virtual conferences.

This sponsorship also allows IGB to bring on part-time program director, Heather Chandler, formerly Sr. Producer at Epic Games, to manage the content for the conferences, podcasts, newsletters, classes, and other offerings. The next all-virtual conference will feature a wide array of business, marketing, and licensing sessions with representatives from developers, publishers, investors, marketing firms and more.

“Tripwire Presents has really stepped up and their support is allowing us to do many of the things I had envisioned for IndieGameBusiness from the start,” says Jay Powell, CEO of The Powell Group and Founder of IGB. “This partnership allows us to grow that vision dramatically for the first time and help support more indie developers with their dream of making and releasing a game.”

The IGB conference will run online from Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 12:00 AM EDT until Thursday, Sept. 22 at 11:30 PM EDT. Registration, ticketing and additional information can be found here. To ensure a wide representation from across the globe and the industry, the IGB series of events features a diverse and highly-curated set of executives and speakers from world-class companies and brands, including Raw Fury, Epic Games, Google, Innersloth, Kickstarter, Global Game Jam, The IGDA Foundation, and many more, as well as numerous speakers from the indie game community. IGB attendees will not only have access to lectures, but will also have the opportunity to meet with hundreds of industry leaders. Those who would like to apply to speak at future IGB events can do so via the Speaker Application Form.

About Tripwire Interactive
Formed in 2005 as a humble independent developer founded by gamers who found success in the video game modding community, Tripwire Interactive has developed and self-published multiple critically acclaimed titles in the wildly popular Killing Floor and Rising Storm franchises, which have collectively sold over 20 million units to date.
