Maneater also made a big splash at PAX West! Following its world exclusive reveal at the PC Gaming Show, E3 2018, PAX West panel attendees were also treated to a deeper dive into Maneater, the action RPG where you play as a shark.
Attendees were treated to an exclusive behind-the-scenes presentation, showing off the game’s development tools and testing levels, offering an early glimpse at the creative direction developer Blindside Interactive is taking with its unique underwater approach to the action RPG genre. Players witnessed a shark devouring hundreds of humans along with work-in-progress screenshots and a high-level overview of Maneater’s key features, including:
- Become a Maneater. Play as a giant shark and terrorize the coastal waterways. Tear swimmers and divers limb from limb, and give the humans a reason to fear you.
- Explore a massive open world. Immerse yourself in a living, breathing world full of threats and rewards. Explore sunken wrecks, lurk in swamps, or just cruise the open ocean looking for whales to feed on.
- Deep Stats and Role Playing. Role-play and customize your shark with a variety of stat driven systems. Evolve different parts of your body to improve how they function, or pump up your ferocity to enter brief feeding frenzies.
