Tripwire Interactive Extends Action Horror in Virtual Reality to More Players Worldwide with Windows Mixed Reality Support and a New Holdout Map for PC in Today’s Update
ROSWELL, GA — July 31, 2018 — There’s never been more ways to experience the terrifying VR world of Killing Floor: Incursion. Tripwire Interactive, developers of the award-winning Killing Floor and Red Orchestra franchises, announced today Killing Floor: Incursion now supports Windows Mixed Reality headsets on Steam in addition to Oculus Rift and HTC Vive devices. In addition to Windows Mixed Reality support, today’s Killing Floor: Incursion content update also introduces “The Crucible,” a brand-new Holdout Mode map for the Oculus store and Steam, which finds players defending key locations against increasingly deadly waves of enemies in a frenetic, arcade-like action experience.
First-time Windows Mixed Reality players should also expect to enjoy all of the post-launch content released for HTC VIVE and Oculus Rift platforms to date, including a “Hardcore” difficulty mode, Katana weapon, leaderboards, and more.
A unique, standalone VR title originally released in August 2017, based on the critically acclaimed Killing Floor franchise, Killing Floor: Incursion charges players with taking on the role of an elite Horzine Security Forces soldier. Team up with allies to fend off the horrific Zed hordes with a wide array of guns, blades, and more. Players may freely explore environments, scavenging for weapons and ammo while searching for the best locations to hold the line against the fiendish onslaught. Battle in diverse areas from creepy farmhouses to high-tech facilities. Complete missions as the Horzine Security Force and unlock the secrets of the Zeds’ mysterious origins.
Currently available on HTC VIVE, Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, and now Windows Mixed Reality headsets, Killing Floor: Incursion takes the action horror genre to the next level with a fully-realized, made-for-VR, story-driven adventure. Play alone or with a friend in co-op mode. Explore strange, unique environments and fight to survive against the horrific Zed hordes with a variety of weapons, including pistols, shotguns, axes—and even the occasional leftover limb.
To celebrate today’s update, Killing Floor: Incursion is also on sale across all platforms. Check out the respective store pages on Steam, Oculus and PlayStation for specific details.
