Dodgeball Rising to Launch in 2018
Publisher Happinet and Developer Asakusa Studios Invest More Resources to Create the Ultimate Six-player SHOWDOWN Experience for Dodgeball Rising
TOKYO, JAPAN — (Dec. 12, 2017) — Japanese videogame publisher, Happinet, today announced that Dodgeball Rising will launch in 2018 (TBA) for PC. Previously scheduled to enter Early Access on Steam on Dec. 14, 2017, developer Asakusa Studios is rescheduling the title’s anticipated PC debut to invest more time and resources towards creating the ultimate showdown experience with full support from publisher Happinet.
Set in the Edo Period in Japan — where swords and duels have been banned by the government –Samurai, Ninja, and even Sushi Chefs, gather to settle conflicts and disputes over a game of Dodgeball. With support for up to six-player matches, a wide array of unique Dodgeball warriors from all walks of life, simple controls, and engaging special moves, Dodgeball Rising brings the classic schoolyard sport to life as never-before-seen.

– A Remarkable Roster: Choose from 11 unique Dodgeball warriors from all walks of life, including Samurai, Ninja, Sushi Chefs, Kabuki Entertainers, Sumo Wrestlers, and more!
– Offline and Online Multiplayer: Supports up to three players for local co-op and up to six players in online battles via 2v2 and 3v3 team battles. AI players can be called in to fill empty slots.
– Story Mode: Enter the Ultimate Imperial Dodgeball Tournament in this singleplayer mode, and unique story for each character.
– Amazing Specials: Build up your Rising Gauge to unleash a variety of over-the-top special moves and attacks to defeat your opponents.
Dodgeball Rising is now scheduled to launch in 2018 (TBA). Expect more details as the title’s revised launch draws nearer.
