Break the Darkness with Light in Stained Glass 2D Action-Adventure Game, Gleamlight, Now Available

D3PUBLISHER’s Latest Indie Title Releases Globally for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam

Oakland, CA – August 20, 2020 — D3PUBLISHER Inc., a leading Japanese games publisher, has globally launched Gleamlight, the stained-glass atmospheric 2D action adventure, today on Nintendo Switch™,  PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X via the Xbox Game Store, and Windows PC via Steam®. Since the initial reveal during the official Nintendo Indie World Livestream Showcase in December 2019, D3PUBLISHER worked tirelessly to bring Gleamlight to global markets simultaneously onto multiple platforms, in order to show the admiration and level of detail without the use of words for storytelling or a game UI to gamers and admirers of stained-glass art alike. Gleamlight is now available digitally for $19.99/€16.99 on console platforms and PC.

Developed by DICO Co., Ltd and published by D3PUBLISHER, Gleamlight is a challenging 2D action adventure that tells a quiet and mysterious story in an artistic world succumbed to darkness with a stained-glass motif.  Gleamlight’s environment is intensified and accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Japanese games music composer Kumi Tanioka.

In Gleamlight, players start their journey as a mysterious and powerful Sword with hidden powers to be unlocked. Throughout the unspoken story, the Sword will encounter various types of enemies and solve mysteries using powers at its disposal with the help of the Child, a mysterious and silent character. Players can wield various powers gained throughout the world to bring light to the darkness, while traversing a beautiful and transient world filled with stained-glass artistry—all without the reliance of a standard game UI. From the start of the game, players will begin their journey with no explanation or narration, as it is ultimately up to players to uncover the world’s mysterious, unspoken story and learn to adapt throughout their playthrough. This is a story of light—of Gleam—in a world of glass stained in darkness.
